Wanganui 29th Nov post race
It was a very hard and fast track at Wanganui last Saturday - Craftsman is still learning his craft and had his first run over ground. He raced keenly in the first half of the race which left him wanting in the finish. He loomed up turning for home with JKB Riddell in the saddle looking like he would be right in it but the early effort told and couldn't quite find the line.
Colorado Star couldn't hit out on the firm surface finishing 3.9 lengths from the winner. We will be looking for a track with the sting out of it for him going forward.
Call A Friend didn't get a run due to an oversight by those in charge on the day with the ambulance in attendance. The race was delayed after an accident on the track and the ambulance then returned but there was confusion within and the race was then abandoned to everyone's cost and frustration .

Three runners heading to Wanganui Jockey Club Saturday 29th November
Tomorrow three Intowin.co.nz horse's will board their Majestic Horse Float and head just an hour down the highway to the Wanganui Jockey Club
RACE 1 the DAVE HOSKIN CARRIERS MAIDEN 2040 will see CRAFTSMAN AKA LEO step out over ground for the first time in the hands of Jonathan Riddell. He is a stayer in the making, he has a bit to learn and a bit of maturing to do. His frame is still to be furnished but Mike Breslin Racing wants to give him a run over ground before he heads out to the paddock for a spell. Staying should be his forte in the long run. A bit of rain would be appreciated to take the jar out of the ground.
RACE 7 the Listed STEELFORM ROOFING GROUP WANGANUI CUP will see the OG of InToWin COLORADO STAR AKA FLUFFY with Jim Chung in the saddle take his place. He looks to be a horse on the up. From barrier 4 he should get a really good run. His last start gave us encouragement that he was on the return and is capable of being right in this. #GoFluffyGo #gothefluff he might be called Fluffy but he's not here to Fluff about
RACE 8 the LOADERS WANGANUI 2004 will see last start winner CALL A FRIEND AKA KEEFE take her place in barrier 1 with Jim Chung in the saddle. She is proven to stay but meets a tougher field here at Wanganui than her last start. The way the track ran at Wanganui last week would not suit her but with the rail back in it's true position this should change. A very promising staying filly that if the track is not too firm should be right in this

Green but pleasing debut run from Intention at Otaki
It was always going to be a hard task for Intention from the outside barrier at Otaki on Thursday and she displayed her greenness by putting in a couple of bucks as she left the starting gates. Leaving her to race back she settled well outside the red hot favourite in Fury Of Flight. Masa Hashizume expected Fury Of Flight to drag him into the race but this wasn't to be. She was held up three times in the straight and still managed to finish the race off strongly through the middle of the pack. It was an exciting finish with the winner deciding to try and head back to the birdcage early.
Thursday 28th Nov Levin Racing Club at Otaki Maori Racing Club
Tomorrow INTENTION AKA RUBY will be heading off on her Majestic Horse Float to Ōtaki-Māori Racing Club for the Levin Racing Club s feature raceday.
RACE 3 the UZA BUS 2 Year Old 1100 will see INTENTION AKA RUBY kick start her racing career. She is a filly that certainly gallops with a lot of intention. Drawn barrier 7 in a seven horse field is a horror draw for her really. She is still a bit green around other horses and will learn a lot from this run. How she jumps and where she lands early will be the crux of the matter tomorrow. She's shown plenty of ability in her jumpouts and is an above average galloper that will learn a lot. Race day experience means a lot in these 2 year old races

Saturday 23rd Nov Wanganui Jockey Club - SCRATCHED DUE TO A COLD
This Saturday our RUSHIN HOME AKA ROO will be hopping on her Majestic Horse Float and making her way to the Wanganui Jockey Club.
RACE 4 the TCL COMMUNICATIONS MAIDEN 1340 mtr will see RUSHIN HOME AKA ROO bounce from barrier 3 in the hands of Tegan Newman. Hopefully the rain stays away, she didn't handle the track at Tauherenikau last start but a firmer racing surface will see her come into her own. She's working well and should be right in this. A bit of a character and a stable favourite she will not lack in supporter's on the day.

Foxton Trials Tuesday 19th November 2024
Colorado Star Aka Fluffy was in typical Fluffy style the sweatiest horse oncourse. He is feeling really well and has never been a great trialist but we were very happy with his run. The purpose of this trial was in increase his fitness with the hope of heading to the Wanganui Cup next start. Video below
Kosta aka Damo is a typical War Decree a lot of potential and talent that he needs to learn how to use. Once he clicks he will be a good horse. Today he was squeezed out a bit at the start and force to race back which wasn't a bad thing as trials are all about education and as you will see he is still very green. Video attached
Woodville Pahiatua Sunday 17th November 2024
A successful day at Woodville-Pahiatua Racing Club today.
Congratulations to all the connections in PEPEHA AKA PEPS. He's been a bit of a frustrating horse, plenty of potential but has had his niggles along the way. A big thank you to Jim Chung for a great ride and to Mike Breslin Racing for being so patient with him and our magic horse physio Nikki Cullen Baileyfields Lodge. Hopefully onwards and upwards from here on in!! #gopeps
Thanks for the photos Caryn Young

Update Thursday 14th November 2024
Tomorrow we are off to RACE Trentham with just the one runner transported by Majestic Horse Floats LP . The OG of InToWin.co.nz the one and only COLORADO STAR AKA FLUFFY
RACE 7 the Pullman Hotel Melbourne 1600 will see Jim Chung take the reins on COLORADO STAR AKA FLUFFY. He's 9 yrs young so takes a few runs to gain hard raceday fitness nowadays but his last run was a good indication he is on his way back! Hopefully the rain doesn't fall too much between now and then. He goes into this race feeling very well and you know you should ....never underestimate the power of the FLUFF ....he might be called Fluffy but he's not here to Fluff about...#gothefluff

Update Tuesday 12th November 2024 - Levin Jumpouts
INTENTION by BIVOUAC X BEELA HUDOOD 2YR FILLY impressed again today at the Levin Racing Club jumpouts winning heat 4 with ease by a length. She's still a bit field shy and Jimmy had to encourage her past the hard ridden second place getter but she had plenty in the tank at the line. We still have a few shares remaining in this filly who will be hitting the track raceday very soon. If you're interested in getting involved get in touch [email protected] or call Tineke on 027 284 4698
Our U S NAVY FLAG X BLANKET BAY 2YR G aka THE FUZZ had a jumpout at Levin Racing Club yesterday. He's from the same family as our OG COLORADO STAR AKA FLUFFY. He looked like he would need a break after his early prep but has really impressed and seems to handle stable life well. This is his early education and he wasn't asked for a big effort but he is a real professional on the track. The Fuzz is ticking all the boxes and is going places . He presents another opportunity to get into a horse with proven early ability a horse we are going to have alot of fun with

STARPELLO AKA KENNY was today after an educational jumpout where he could sit in amongst the field and go through them in the straight but unfortunately everything was going really well until they started to turn for home and the two horses he was using as cover decided to go to the outside fence. Leaving poor Kenny in no man's land on his own. He still ran to the line but you can see he was lost. He wasn't asked for a big effort as this is early in his prep but Lisa did hope for an educational run for him
Call A Friend Victorious at Tauherenikau 10th Nov 2024
Congratulations to the InToWin Cleverly Syndicate and InToWin RACE Members Syndicate ...Call A Friend aka Keefe put her best foot forward at Tauherenikau Racing & Event Centre on Sunday. Tylah Mercer showed her skills handling her wild ways in the birdcage beforehand and a great effort by Mike Breslin Racing to prepare her for the win.
A massive thank you to Caryn Young and Susan Patel for their photos

An Update on Everything 28th August 2024
The rain has well and truly arrived and we may be in for a wet Spring as we seem to have saved up winter for a later date. We have some great racing about to kick off and some very exciting horses to follow. With not much racing over the winter months we currently have around 20 InToWin horses in full training most preparing to kick start their new campaigns and a further 7 or 8 waiting in the wings. Shares in the now 2 year olds have been slow to move, this has no reflection on the quality of these horses more the harder economic times. But hopefully things are starting to turn around and people will be more confident to invest in these outstanding colts, fillies and geldings. We really do have an outstanding young team coming through and some great opportunities to be a shareholder in the ownership of some top class thoroughbreds.
'KOSTA' (War Decree x High Esteem 3yr g) - 14% available
Kosta returned to work two or three weeks ago and is a very well balanced, athletic boy. He has shown us plenty of ability and I have no doubt he will win races. He is ready to go forward and race this time in. Out of a High Chaparral mare he is bred to stay and the War Decree's have really stamped their mark here and in Australia and will be incredibly hard to buy going forward. They are horses that need to learn their craft but once they click they really excel. Here is his latest voice update from Trainer Mike Breslin and video from his last preparation. (flyer attached at bottom of email with all costs etc)

'Sea Wolf' (U S Navy Flag x Nigellissima 3yr filly)
Sea Wolf aka Nancy is about to have her debut race possibly at Woodville on the 8th September. She's a filly that just does everything that is asked of her and is very honest, a quality that seems to be a common trait with the U S Navy Flag's. She is a little tarty to load into the starting gates but fine once she is locked away in them. A horse you can expect to see a good honest race from first up, Roydon has not rushed her and backed off when she looked like she needed a break as a 2 year old. Video attached from her last outing
SEA WOLF 22.8.24
Microphone x Classy Fashion 2yr g (stable name Millhouse) - share's available
Millhouse has just returned to work with Shaun Fannin and Hazel Schofer. He was broken in by Luke Myers who has done an outstanding job with him. He is a horse that is just really easy to have around an attitude beyond his years. He is from a proven family and Microphone was a first season sire last season, his oldest being 2 years. Shaun and Hazel as we know were and are top riders and they hand picked this boy from the sales. I have attached a video from his last preparation and one from his recent arrival.

'Colorado Star' aka Fluffy (Alamosa x Elegant Emerald 9yr g)
The big Fluff he's a bit of a Peter Pan ...might be 9 on paper but thinks he's 2. He is a tough boy, he had a interrupted campaign last time in with hoof problems but our amazing farrier Pat Crowley has worked his magic on him and he seems to be coming back up good this time in. He is a funny horse that may have at best only ever once won a jumpout or trial in his entire life but has Group and Listed wins under his belt. He seems to know when to bother and he also picks and chooses who to bother with personally as well. Known to be a bit of a 24 hour security guard he seems to like the consistency of barn life. If anything goes down at the stables or in the vicinity he should be the first port of call as a witness, he is a tireless Neighbourhood Watch member and really has his finger on the pulse of all going ons. Video attached from the last jumpouts his first one back with his trademark Fluffy winter coat

'Turn It Up' aka Kani (Tivaci x Sound Works 3yr filly)
Well I am very wary of counting chickens before they hatch ...especially when is comes to horses as not always what they show you in training or jumpouts and trials is carried over well to raceday once under the additional pressure that brings. But this filly is really impressive so far...she actually gives me goosebumps. There are alot of fast horses around and alot are only fast over 850 mtrs so they excel in jumpouts and trials then come raceday the extra 150 plus mtrs finds them out. Turn It Up finds the line very strong and has given her riders the impression she would go alot further. Roydon has been very patient with her and could have opted to send her around as a 2 year old in which she probably would have gone out and done a whole lot wrong but still won a 2 year old race. By turning her out instead we have a stronger and more mentally ready filly to take forward. All going well she will make her raceday debut at Woodville on the 8th September I would be lying if I said I wasn't itching to see her out on raceday. Video from her latest and first jumpout back this time in.

Satono Aladdin x Uralla 2yr colt - (Stable name Sniper) - Shares available
Lisa Latta hand picked this boy from the sales and you can see why. Not only are the Satono Aladdin's hot property they also have a great relaxed temperament and attitude towards their work. He is so well put together...a big bum for power! and really strong through the shoulder and neck. He just takes stable life in his stride - video attached he is working with a big 3 yr old and having his first walk through the practice starting gates

'Redana' aka Rihanna (Redwood x Gone Troppo 4yr mare)
Redana showed us enough last time in to say she has some wins up her sleeve. Her form slipped and she showed Lisa that she'd had enough so she has spelled and now back ready to go again. She went to Foxton trials last week, not really ready for a trial but Lisa wanted her to have an easy hit out on the grass. Jonathan Riddell rode her and she actually really impressed us all considering how forward she was. Her coat has still not turned yet and she has plenty of improvement to come but she is looking good for her return! video attached
Redana 22.8.24
Redana Aug 24 .mp4
'Call A Friend' aka Keefe (Akeed Mofeed x Very Clever 4yr mare)
This filly is still a work in progress with plenty of improvement to come but she really stepped up last time in to record her maiden win and even started in the NZ Oaks to run a good race for 7th. She still runs a bit green and Mike has been patient with her which is really paying off now. She looks to have come back very well this time in and will have her first race back at Woodville on the 8th September. Video of her latest trial attached
Call A Friend Otaki Trials .mp4
'Ardee Boy' aka Ardee (Ardrossan x Dee I Why 4yr gelding)
Ardee Boy has shown us he has what it takes with a win from his first start as a 2 year old on his home track. From then he has gone some really good races but had a couple of niggles along the way and taken a bit or working out for his trainer Peter Didham. He is a horse that always goes a great race fresh up and this was seen at Awapuni last week when he was knocked over at the start so ended up racing back and flying home to finish a close 4th in the hands of stable apprentice Toni Davies. Video attached of his trail prior to his raceday start
Ardee Boy Otaki trials .mp4
'Pepeha' aka Peps (Darci Brahma x Introduction 5yr gelding)
Pepeha is a horse with a tone of ability but something has been holding him back. He will go an absolute blinder of a race first up and then you think he's a certainty next start and he will put in a much weaker run. We have spent a long time trying to get to the bottom of it as he is worth it and it seems he feels his sacrum joint in his hind quarters which stems back to the Wellington Guineas and a knock he received in that race. We have enlisted our top class horse physio Nikki Cullen (knee Lourie) and she has been working her magic on him at her home base of Baileyfields Lodge in Dannevirke. He will return to Mike's stables very soon and we are hoping for a new and improved Pepeha. Attached Nikki's last update ...more to come from Pepeha soon

Vancouver x Alpine Julz 2yr filly (stable name Gretchen) - Shares available
Selected and trained in the Hawkes Bay by Guy Lowry and Leah Zydenbos this stunning filly will really catch your eye. She's currently in work and preparing to have her first jumpout soon. She is very well balanced and a great moving horse. From a family that Guy has had alot of past experience with and great success. Two video's attached

'Starpello' aka Kenny (Star Turn x Appello 3yr gelding)
Starpello aka Kenny he's a bloke with a high opinion of himself ...warranted or not we are yet to find out. He was a bit of mischief as a young colt and injured himself early on which could've been the end of a racing career for Kenny but Nikki Cullen worked her magic on him and he bounced back. He is currently waiting to return to work from his vacation which was supposed to happen a few weeks ago but Lisa had noticed him sleeping lying down every day at her place in the paddock, which is a sign in a young horse that they are growing so opted to give him a bit more time out. Video attached from last time in at the jumpouts
Starpello 11.6.24 1
Bivouac x Beela Hudood 2yr filly - Shares available
This filly is really standing out she is bred to be super fast by Bivouac (who was fast enough to beat Nature Strip for comparison sake) and out of a Snitzel mare. She is in work, this is her first preparation and she galloped very well this morning. Definitely a filly worth purchasing shares in if you are wanting to be out there doing something early. An exciting filly that presents a great opportunity to invest in. Voice update from Mike Breslin and video from Chris Rutten prior to coming in to work attached
Bivouac x Beela Hudood voice update.mp3
Bivouac x Beela Hudood filly 26.6.2024.mp4
'Afterthought' aka Timmy (So You Think x Nina Bonita 3yr g)
This boy is a favourite of anyone who gets the pleasure to throw a leg over him. He works like a dream, head tucked perfectly under and glides around the track. He has shown us plenty of ability and is looking like a very nice stayer in the making. Mike is being patient with him and this will pay off in the long run. He has needed time to strengthen and mature, currently on a break but due back in a couple of weeks. He doesn't seem handle the wet tracks as he is a long striding horse - video attached from his last preparation
Afterthought 2.5.24.mp4
'Rushin Home' aka Roo (Russian Revolution x Manhattan Light 3yr filly)
She's a filly with a bit of spunk about her and one I can not wait to see step out as the 3 year old on raceday. She has a good attitude and works well, she has shown us enough at the jumpouts when settling back and running on really well to indicate she will develop into an exciting racehorse. She had the one raceday start last time in as a 2 yr old on a very heavy track at Trentham, she didn't disgrace herself but just wasn't strong enough to finish a race off in those testing conditions. She has returned to work and isn't far from a jumpout - video from her 2 year old year attached and recent voice update
Rushin Home 7.5.24.mp4

Tarzino x Up and Up 2yr filly - Shares available
She is a filly selected by Roydon Bergerson and Chris Rutten with the Oaks in mind. A filly that with any black type added to her page will have a high residual value after racing a real classic filly. She is heading off to Luke Myers at Sandtoft to be broken in this week. Luke does a really good job breaking in
Tarzino x Up and Up f 11.3.24.mp4
'Iam Brazen One' aka Penny (Brazen Beau x Imanana 4yr mare)
Well Penny she's a big strong butch but beautiful mare with a real bit of brilliance about her. With two wins under her belt from just 4 starts she is a very exciting horse to follow. She's out of a great family and looks like she will be adding to the black type of this family's pedigree page soon. She has pre-trained with Nikki Cullen at Baileyfields Lodge under her watchful eye on the treadmill and walker and now returned to the track with Mike. She is a very strong and muscular filly that really grabs your eye and I can not wait to see her back out on raceday. Definitely a force to be reckoned with. Video attached
Ima Brazen One 1.mp4
'Saxon Lady' aka Maggie (Saxon Warrior x Ocean Fleet 4yr mare)
She's a mare that has taken a while to mature and Mike has been very patient with. She couldn't handle the pressure early on and went shin sore multiple times at 2 and 3yrs. But now the patients shown are really paying off she has developed into an exciting mare. I have alot of time for this girl, she has a real attitude and is not afraid to confront anything or anyone that gets in her way. Not nasty at all, just confident . She has really impressed at the jumpouts and is going to be another exciting mare to follow. video attached
Saxon Lady LV 13.8.24.mp4
THE 'Queen Of Spades' aka The Queen, Queen or Luna (short for lunatic but don't tell her that) Iffraaj x Best Of All 6yr mare
Whatever you do ...don't let the Queen know she wasn't at the top of the page! The Queen ...well she definitely knows she's different from the rest and expects to be treated differently to go with it. It's all about her and her merry followers and the peasants that fluff about with her. Roydon and his team have done a great job getting her to where she is, from a horse that took two different breakers to break her in. A horse that could barely make it around to the start on raceday. To a 5 win mare with more to come. She doesn't make life easy ...especially for her trackwork riders ...well are they really riding her? ...she says she's giving them riding lessons ....and it does look alot like that at times. Anyway after a few hold ups ...some unexplained shenanigans in her Royal Box one night she awoke the next morning unable to walk unassisted. She has however since recovered and is working her way back to raceday fitness with her next official appearance only a couple of weeks away. A few videos attached from early in her preparation

US Navy Flag x Blanket Bay 2yr gelding aka The Fuzz (stable name) - Shares Available
So this bloke is Colorado Star's cousin you could say ... so add the dogged toughness of Colorado Star to the honest, genuine ability of U S Navy Flag and he is a very exciting mix. He was broken in at Milton Park in Bulls and they have done a great job. He is now in work with Mike and ticking all the boxes for his first preparation. A horse I can not wait to see in action on raceday and I am sure we are going to have a heap of fun with. Latest voice update attached and videos one from Milton Park being broken in and another coming home from the track (excuse the music ...he chose it himself)

'Craftsman' aka Leo (Alamosa x Closing Time 4yr gelding)
Leo he's a big gangly boy that has alot of natural raw ability but has to be taught how to use it. He is like a big teenager that likes to have a bit of fun as he goes about his work day. He has the ability to be a very good stayer, he floats across the ground with a massive long stride and does everything with ease but just needs to learn how to master his trade and that's what Mike is working on at the moment with him.
Craftsman 11.6.24.mp4
'Genie Be Good' aka Genie (Darci Brahma x Bon Genie 3yr Filly)
Genie is a big girl that will take a little bit to mature but she is showing that she is worth the wait and improving all the time. We were surprised with how forward she was in her early jumpouts as she has a lot of maturing to do but still performed well considering she had very little experience going into these. She will head to the next set of jumpouts then have another break to fill out a bit more before returning to work to prepare for her raceday debut.
Genie Be Good LV 13.8.24.mp4
'Charlotte's Way' aka Char or Charlotte (Pentire x Charmaine 6yr mare)
Charlotte would be one of the last Pentire's to be racing - She has disappointed her last couple of starts but has a lot of ability and recorded her third win at Hawera on a Good 4 track over 1400 mtrs in late April. She is a mare that started racing late; she wasn't in full training until she was 4 so lighty tried really. She is currently having a couple of weeks off out at my place and will return to racing on the turf once the tracks improve. She has had 17 starts for 3 wins 3 seconds 1 3rd and 3 4ths and I am positive she will be adding to the win total over the summer months
Charlotte's Way 16.7.24.mp4
'Miss Pepeha' aka Zara (Zed x Introduction 4yr mare)
Miss Pepeha is Pepeha's half sister trained in Victoria by Tony Noonan. She's a typical Zed filly a bit hot headed but has shown enough to win races if she can keep her head. Tony Noonan to his credit has been very patient with her and hasn't put more pressure on her than she can handle. The start before last she got back, ran on well for 5th and looked like a next start winner. However being a mare she had a change in mood for the day and was fractious in the gates and then pulled up distressed and jarred up on further investigation. She is back out in the paddock for the Spring, she is a really nice type and capable of winning over ground if she matures mentally enough. video attached

Hopefully I have not bored you to tears and you have taken note of something you would like to follow or even invest in. Along with these strictly InToWin horses I also do administration for a few other clients. One horse I have been very lucky to be involved in and that I am a huge fan of is the one and only Berry The Cash. He puts on a great display of jumping and staying power and is true testament to the horsemen Mark Oulaghan is with 7 wins on the trott and heading to the Great Northern Hurdles on the 15th September to try and add to that record. He is also no slug on the flat and their could be a run in between at New Plymouth in the NZB Airfreight Road To The Jericho 3210mtr race with the thought of all going well qualifying for The Jericho Cup which is well worth a read about here https://www.thejerichocup.com.au/therace
If you are wanting to know more about the share's currently available I have attached a flyer or you can check out InToWin.co.nz

Vancouver x Alpine Julz 28.8.24.mp4
Rushin Home Voice Update.mp3

IMA BRAZEN ONE Wins Brazenly - Anzac Day 25th April 2024
Ima Brazen One a horse we think a lot of is really starting to show what she has in the tank. She is still very green and a work in progress but she really impressed when winning in the hands of Craig Grylls at Otaki Maori Racing Club on Anzac Day. Mike Breslin trains and will look to give her the experience of a trip away then a short break so she is ready to kick some bigger goals in the spring.

An update on everything - as at 22nd April 2024
I felt it was time for another full update on everything that has happened is happening or not happening at InToWin.co.nz
First off the bat CONGRATULATIONS to the InToWin Any Way Syndicate with Charlotte's Way stepping up to record her third raceday victory yesterday at Hawera. She is a progressive horse that I can not wait to see head over more ground. Roydon is looking at heading to the Woodville Cup on the 3rd of May with her all going well. She is a versatile horse that can perform well on both the turf and the synthetic tracks so we will have our eye on some good stakemoney this campaign.

Colorado Star aka Fluffy he came back into work after an extremely wet winter and like many this season really struggled with stone bruises and soft soles/sore heels. We have made the decision to turn him out until we are 100% happy with him and bring him back for another crack. He is an 8 year old but he is like a car that's had one little old lady owner with very low mileage on the clock and well looked after. He doesn't know his age and has still even at 70% performed well in Group and Listed company. I am sure he has a few more wins in him when he is running at 100%
Redana - Went well early in her campaign with luckless runs and then her form dropped off near the end of her campaign. But she had done a lot as we wanted to try her over ground and on the better tracks while we had them. She is currently spelling and we will be looking for her to come back stronger next time in. She has shown enough promise to win races.
Ima Brazen One - She's a horse with plenty in the tank from a very exciting family and is learning her craft. With two starts under her belt for one win at the time of writing this email I have no doubt she will be adding to the black type on this family's pedigree page. Pencil drawing done by Jasmine Leah

Call A Friend aka Keefe - She really put her hand up this time in and was a great example of what patients can achieve with a horse. From a hot headed 2 year old that struggled to keep it together raceday to an impressive stayer that has gotten more and more relaxed as time has gone on. She recorded her first win at Tauherenikau over 2050 mtrs and went on to run a pleasing 7th in the NZ Oaks. She is a filly that should pick up some nice staying races.
Miss Pepeha - Zara as they call her is trained by Tony Noonan in Australia. She is by Zed out of Introduction making her a half sister to Pepeha. She has been a hot headed filly that Tony has been very patient with. She had one raceday start last time in but hung badly and it was discovered that she had an abcess burst out in her mouth causing discomfort. She is back in work now and looking good. It did take a lot of training to teach Tony Noonan to get his Aussie accent around her name

Craftsman - aka Leo.... well he is one of those that you could easily overlook ...but I give you the tip...don't underestimate Leo! I went out to Georgia Brown's property at the request of the breeder to have a look at Leo as a yearling and see if I wanted to syndicate him. Georgia walked out with a hairy young fulla with big ears and gangly legs...but there was just something about him I really liked. He's definitely not flashy or an eye catching type but he moves with a real spring in his step and a glint in his eye. He likes to be the entertainment with plenty of playful antics up his sleeve but can also knuckle down and work like a true professional. He covers the ground with a massive floating stride. I do not like to speak too soon but I am pretty sure you will be seeing alot of this boy in the winners circle once he masters his craft.
Turn It Up aka Kani - This was our Tivaci x Sound Works filly selected by Chris Rutten Bloodstock and purchased from the NZB Ready To Run Sales - She has blistering speed and a brain to go with it which can be rare. Tivaci fillies are known to be a little hot headed but this girl really seems to have a laid back approach to everything. I don't really need to say much more about her as I think the video attached tells you all you need to know. She gives me goosebumps, you never know until they get out under the extra pressure of raceday but she is ticking all the boxes. NZB Kiwi Slot race eligible

Queen Of Spades - Well the Queen is a horse with a big attitude and an even bigger following. She has managed to gather a large entourage around her and entertain them with her quirky behaviour and toughness on raceday...maybe one that you wouldn't put up with at times if she didn't have the ability she has. She is currently pre-training around the hills of Cavallo Farm with Chris Rutten. We are hoping to have a crack at the Winter Cup this year with her.
Pepeha - Well he is a horse with all the talent but unfortunately he suffered an injury to his hind quarters in the Wellington Guineas as a 3 yr old and has struggled with it since. He seems to get one good run and then feels it his next. We are currently working with Nikki Lourie our horse physio to try and remedy it.
Rushin Home aka Roo - This Russian Revolution 2yr filly had an early jumpout and trial last time in and went ok but nothing to write home about and started to feel her shins. Mike opted to turn her out and she really flourished during her break. She has come back without all the baby fat and is starting to really look like a racehorse. She had a jumpout last week and was very impressive, a filly that has improved a huge amount. She is looking like a very exciting horse in the making. Karaka Million and NZB Kiwi Slot race eligible - The pencil drawing attached was done by Jasmine Leah

Star Turn x Appello 2yr gelding aka Kenny - Kenny was a bit of a character as a young colt and in all his enthusiasm managed to injure his pelvis. He has been under the watchful and masterful eye of Horse Physio Nikki Lourie at Bailey Fields Lodge in Dannevirke completing a rehab program with her (progress video attached) and now back in work with Lisa Latta. Lisa is planning on giving him his first jumpout on the 9th May.

Afterthought - He's had a couple of mishaps along the way, nothing that will harm him in the long run but just enough to make his first preparation delayed. He's a really lovely looking boy that has his fathers good looks in SO YOU THINK. He's from a great family and has impressed his riders in gallops and his early education so far. The video attached was from last time in work but as you will see there is much to like about him. He carries himself with a real presence and works along like a true professional. I can not wait to see what he brings to the track this time in
Darci Brahma x Bon Genie 2yr filly - She completed her early barrier education with a couple of jumpouts down the back straight at Awapuni and started to have a growth spurt so it was a perfect time to give her a break before the weather gets too bad over the winter months. She will come back and prepare to head to the jumpouts and trials in the Spring when fillies really start to flourish.
U S Navy Flag x Nigelissima 2yr filly - Nancy we all love Nancy..She's got a real willingness to please and conducts herself like a true professional. Roydon has been patient with her she went through a bit of a growing patch and just started to feel the firm tracks after her jumpout (video attached from last time in) The U S Navy Flags are performing really well and she is looking like another honest type to add more feathers to his bow as a sire.
Sizzle - She's got the ability with a bit to learn, she didn't handle being in amongst them last time in. She was knocking on the door for a win and raced against some of the top 2 year olds of the season very competitively. She has a real attitude on the ground and is not afraid to move you along with her teeth or a hoof if she decides your time here is done! She is a filly that will develop into a good horse once she learns to handle being in tight quarters.
Ardee Boy - Ardee recorded his first win as a 2 year old on his home track and has not quite found his niche as the 3 year old yet. He is a big lovely boy that went a great race first up on a good track at Tauherenikau but struggled second up on a wet track at Otaki. He has the ability in him it is just a matter of working out his optimal distance and track conditions he prefers.
Saxon Lady - Saxon Lady has been given time and that has really paid off. She has developed into a big strong filly and has shown us plenty this time in. Her bones are still a immature with shine soreness rearing its head again but we are hoping to nurse her through this. She is bred to stay and from what she has shown so far will be above average at it.

She is bred to stay and from what she has shown so far will be above average at it.
War Decree x High Esteem 2yr gelding - Selected by Chris Rutten Bloodstock . This boy is impressing everyone. The War Decree's are absolutely flying and he is no exemption to this. He has just had his first educational jumpout, where they are not asked for any effort; the sole purpose is to give them a good experience and educate them under no pressure. He will be heading to another jumpout or trial in the coming weeks then on to raceday. We have a few shares remaining in him and he presents a great and rare opportunity to get involved in a horse that we already know can really gallop and is about to hit the track raceday. NZB Kiwi Slot race eligible - Share's available Trained by Mike Breslin

GET INVOLVED
InToWin.co.nz has been lucky enough to team up with Chris Rutten Bloodstock for the upcoming 2023 Karaka Yearling Sales.
Chris has an exceptional eye for a good horse and he will be selecting his pick of the yearlings with the Karaka Million in mind.
There wouldn't be many with as good of a record in the Karaka Million races as Chris Rutten with Vespa winning the Karaka Million 2 year old in 2014 and then the Karaka Million 3 year old Classic with Scott Base in 2018, he has also placed with Touche in 2013, Kingsman in 2016, Yourdeel 2019, Avonallo 2021 and Wolverine in 2022. Then to add to all this success he has Farravallo as a hopeful contender this year which he purchased from Haunui Farm's book 2 draft for just $20,000.
Chris's record is truly outstanding. It is a huge achievement to even have a runner in these races let alone be successful so many times.
Chris is currently studying up and attending yearling parades in preparation for the NZB Karaka Yearling Sales which commence on the 29th January 2023. We are after expressions of interest from those that are wanting to be put on the list of potential shareholders who will then in turn be offered the shares before they are publicly advertised. Obviously the costs will depend on the purchase price but these will all be detailed once known. On average for ongoing costs over and above the initial purchase we work on around $300 per month per 10% share.
To be put on the list please email Tineke [email protected] with an indication of what % of investment you would be considering (this is just an expression of interest)
